For three seasons, Gotham has given us a new perspective on the classic Batman story. The writers were basically given a blank slate to fill in the years between the Wayne murders and Bruce’s donning of the iconic cowl. We’ve seen classic villains in a new way and terrifying original villains that feel like they’ve always been a part of the lore.
And then there’s the Season 4 premiere. It was good in its own rite. But it also gave us something so horrifying, yet at the same time magical… that went a little something like this.
