The Toys Are Back in Town for a Toy Story of Terror (Premieres Tonight–Wednesday, October 16th)

Toy Story of Terror 1

The Toy Story gang is back to playfully enter the realm of the horror genre in tonight’s half-hour Toy Story of Terror!. The Pixar special finds our familiar crew of toys in a spooky place and facing the mystery of the disappearance of one of their own.

The new Halloween special will pick up where Toy Story 3 left off, with Tom Hanks and Tim Allen reprising their voice roles as Woody and Buzz. Joan Cusack and Timothy Dalton will also return as the spirited cowgirl Jessie and the erudite hedgehog Mr. Pricklepants.

The official story synopsis-

A trip with Bonnie to her grandmother’s house takes a detour when the family car gets a flat tire, leaving Mrs. Anderson with no choice, but to stop at a motel for the night. Shortly after settling into their motel room the toys make a fatal mistake. They start exploring the creepy motel! Soon after, a mysterious creature begins to stalk them. One by one they disappear until Jessie becomes the last toy standing! Can she escape before she meets the same fate as her friends?

Toy Story of Terror! is directed by Angus MacLane (BURN-E and Small Fry). Early word from the Disney D23 Expo, where the first ten minutes was screened, was that Terror! was a fun short for all ages that contained more than a few nods to the classic horror films from Hollywood’s Golden Age. Toy Story of Terror! airs at 8PM EST, tonight on ABC.
