Remember when we told you about the new Serenity comic series? It looks like things are moving ahead rather quickly! It was announced today that Zack Whedon (Joss Whedon’s brother) will be writing Serenity: Leaves on the Wind, a six-issue comic series (at least for now) which takes place after the events of the film. The first issue will be released on January 29th, 2014.
We are huge Firefly/Serenity fans here at Nerdlyweds HQ (and we’ve heard on good authority that it’s a pretty big deal at the heart of Nerdy Minds HQ as well), so it was all we could do to settle down long enough to write this out for you. Check the exclusive Nerdist article for more information.

If this cover is any indication as to the emotional roller coaster we’ll be sent on over this six-issue arc, consider us glutton for bipolar meds.
