Marvel’s “The Defenders” (Miniseries) Brings DareDevil, Jessica Jones, Iron Fist, and Luke Cage to Netflix

If the title of this article doesn’t have you jumping up and down then we don’t know what would do it. Marvel and Netflix are joining forces to bring four different miniseries to life, each focusing on a different Marvel character. The mini-series are expected to stretch out over several years, and there are already four thirteen episode series guaranteed. If they do well, a fifth mini-series, The Defenders, will be created as a “team” series featuring all four characters.

Are you ready to dive into Hell’s Kitchen and see the Everyman superheroes in action? The only downside? We won’t get to start enjoying these characters until 2015. Still, if it means a better series, then the wait will be worth it. You can read more about this breaking news over at Marvel’s site.

Do you already have Netflix? If not, will you get it to watch these upcoming mini-series? Which of the four are you most excited to see?

  1. I saw this news earlier and am excited! Already have Netflix and WILL most definitely hold onto my subscription.

Did you also see that starting in 2016 Netflix will get all Marvel movies as soon as they leave the theaters?

  2. Yes, I’ve got Netflix. I look forward to checking out these new series. But it really is superhero overload at this point. Not that I mind. It just means I’ll have a lot of catching up to do.

I enjoyed the movie version of ‘Daredevil’ (and actually had no idea a lot of people didn’t like it until like, maybe this year), so that’s the character I look forward to seeing most. The movie got me into reading the comics for awhile back when I was into reading a lot of comics. Not to overdo it on that, but the ‘Daredevil: Director’s Cut’ is a far, far better movie than the theatrical version.

Anyway, him and Iron Fist, who I can’t recall seeing much of except maybe on an old Spider-Man SNES game–that should be fun. And I’d–oh, I like all of them, but I look forward to hearing the casting news on this for sure.
